We saw a gap in Titirangi that needed filling: a place to go for top-quality food and classy, efficient catering (for everything from platters or canapés for business functions to five-course private dinner parties), as well as somewhere relaxing to enjoy superb Mt Atkinson coffee and food made by friendly staff who know your name.

Why Titirangi? Because we love the village vibe. It’s Auckland, but not Auckland, if you know what we mean. People come out here from the city because it’s chilled and friendly and a little Westie funky. We look forward to seeing you here!

Victoria & ELLIOT Warne

We both trained for 10 years in professional kitchens early on under top chefs in Auckland and then in Melbourne. When we returned to Auckland in the late 1990s, Elliot was appointed executive chef at Tribeca, then Otto’s (in the Metropolis Hotel), then Hammerheads. He was food producer for two seasons of Masterchef NZ, and has catered celebrity events from the New Zealand radio awards to Martin Crowe and Lorrain Downes’s wedding.

Meanwhile, Victoria launched VEVO Catering in 2007 which stands for Victoria, Elliot, Vincent and Oliver. Once it was established, a permanent premise was required, and when the site in Titirangi became available in 2011, VEVO Foodstore was born.

pick up meals


At VEVO we offer pick up dinners 7 days a week. They vary every week and may include: beef moussaka, free range garlic & thyme chicken with creamy mash & green vegetables, slow cooked beef lasagna, Italian meatballs, spiced braised lamb leg with potato gnocchi & roast peppers. You can find them in our freezer by the front entrance of the cafe. They come in easy-to-use tin foil trays, perfect for the oven when you're short on time or as a favour for a friend in need.
